Understanding Teflon|PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene)

  • Corrosion resistance: Able to withstand corrosion from various chemicals, including acids, alkalis, solvents, etc., and suitable for chemical pipelines and equipment.
  • Low friction coefficient: It has an extremely low friction coefficient, suitable for liquid transportation, reducing energy loss and wear.
  • Wear resistance: Able to maintain good wear resistance under mechanical friction and pressure.
  • Application areas: Chemical pipelines and equipment, seals, bearings, gaskets, etc. Surface coating that provides anti-stick properties.

Teflon Knowledge|FEP (hexafluoropropylene copolymer)

  • Chemical inertness/heat resistance: Able to withstand high temperatures and corrosive media, commonly used in linings and seals for chemical equipment.
  • Non-toxic and odorless: suitable for use in medical equipment and food processing industries.
  • Application areas: medical devices, chemical equipment linings and seals, food processing equipment.

Teflon raw materials | PFA (perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether copolymer resin)

  • Chemical stability/heat resistance: suitable for the transportation and processing of high-temperature corrosive media.
  • Mechanical strength: It has higher strength and stiffness than PTFE.
  • Application areas: Seals and valve parts for high temperature equipment, chemical pipes and equipment

Fluoride Characteristics|TFM

  • Composite material: PTFE+PFA, with a more robust structure, without compromising the properties of PTFE, and with lower permeability to chemicals.
  • Chemical Resistance/Low Permeability: Able to withstand the transfer and handling of high purity chemicals.
  • High temperature stability: suitable for working in high temperature environment.
  • Application areas: Seals and components for medical devices and chemical equipment

Teflon Introduction | ECTFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene Copolymer)

  • Chemical/heat resistance: Able to withstand chemical corrosion and high temperature environments.
  • High strength/rigidity: has high mechanical properties.
  • It can form a highly durable coating and can work continuously at 150°C.
  • Application areas: Valves, pumps and other corrosion-resistant parts of chemical equipment.

Teflon Knowledge|PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride)

  • Chemical stability/heat resistance: suitable for the transportation and processing of various chemical media.
  • Mechanical properties: high tensile strength and rigidity.
  • Application areas: Chemical pipes and equipment, solar panels, building exterior coatings.
